Livestock Information

Neocaridina shrimp will generally be shipped as unsexed adults.

Caridina shrimp will generally be shipped as unsexed juveniles (1/4” to 1/2”) when possible.

Guppies will generally be shipped as young breeders.

Please note that shrimp and guppies are living animals and natural variations in size, color, and appearance may occur even within the same type. We do not guarantee specific genetics or the traits of any offspring, as these are beyond our control. However, information on the colony and genetics can be provided upon request.

Handling

At Space City Shrimp, we take pride in making sure your order arrives healthy, active, and in great condition. Please note that handling times may vary based on specific circumstances:

Temperature: If temperatures in your area fall outside the safe range for shipping, we will hold your order until a suitable shipping window becomes available. For extreme temperatures, especially during winter and summer, we recommend selecting express shipping options.

If temperatures in our area are not within the range required for shipping live animals, we may need to delay the shipment until conditions improve.

Holidays: On holidays where USPS/FedEx is closed or does not deliver, there may be a delay in shipping.

Live Arrival Guarantee

All livestock are guaranteed to arrive alive. Please track your package so you can make sure you are home to receive them. Your order must be delivered on the first delivery attempt to maintain coverage under our guarantee.

All shipping methods on shrimp, snail, and plant orders are covered under this policy however only express shipping options (FedEx 2 day or faster) are covered on all live fish orders.

DOA (Dead On Arrival) must be reported within 1 hour of reported delivery time per carrier. Clear photos AND videos of the bag unopened must be submitted within 1 hour of delivery. Refusal may void guarantee. You will be eligible for your choice of a refund or reshipment. Shipping costs are non refundable.

Water Parameters

Please research and ensure your tank meets the correct water parameters before purchasing. There are no refunds or exchanges for any reason beyond what is explicitly outlined in our Live Arrival Guarantee. We are not responsible for losses due to improper tank conditions.
