Indian Almond Leaves / Catappa Leaves (Terminalia catappa), 5-Pack

What they do: As they steep, the leaves release humic acids and tannins with natural antibacterial and antifungal properties, and gently lower and stabilize pH for soft-water species like bettas and Caridina. Biofilm builds on the leaves, giving baby shrimp and fry something to graze. They also work as terrarium leaf litter.

How to use: Drop them straight in; they float at first and sink in 1–2 days. For a lighter tint and quicker sinking, boil 5–10 minutes and cool before adding.
