Description

Bloody Mary Neocaridina (Neocaridina davidi var. “Bloody Mary”)

Appearance: An intense, deep blood red that often outshines Painted Fire Red. The color comes from vivid red tissue beneath the exoskeleton, which gives them a glowing, jewel-like look. Both males and females show the same rich, even crimson.

Care: Easy. They do well in dechlorinated tap water (pH 6.5–7.8, 68–78°F, GH 6–10, KH 2–6, TDS 150–350). They live 1–2 years and keep busy grazing algae, biofilm, and detritus off plants, decor, and glass.

Breeding: Prolific in stable, planted tanks with hiding spots. Keep them away from other Neocaridina colors to avoid hybrids and keep the red pure.

What you’ll receive: Hand-picked, high-quality Bloody Mary shrimp from our line-bred tanks, shipped with our live arrival guarantee.
