Description

Orange Poso Rabbit Snail (Sulawesi rabbit snail)

Appearance: One of the most colorful Sulawesi rabbit snails: a near-neon orange body and foot against a ridged, dark chocolate-to-black shell. Adults reach about 2.5–3 inches.

Care: Best in an established, stable tank with fine substrate, hiding spots, and gentle flow (76–84°F, pH 7.0–8.5, GH 6–12, KH 4–8). They need mineral-rich water for strong shells, so add calcium if needed, and avoid copper medications. Plan on 10 gallons for 1–2 snails plus 2–3 gallons for each additional snail.

Diet: Biofilm, soft algae, decaying plants, blanched veggies, sinking pellets, and the occasional bloodworm.

Breeding: They breed very slowly and give live birth, so they won’t overrun your tank.
