Description
Green Diamond Neocaridina (Neocaridina davidi var. “Green Diamond”)
Appearance: A saturated lime-to-vivid green through the body, legs, and antennae, with a clear shell that gives them their crystalline “diamond” sparkle. They’re brighter than standard green lines. Females are slightly larger and usually the boldest.
Care: Easy. They do well in dechlorinated tap water (pH 6.5–7.8, 68–78°F, GH 6–10, KH 2–6, TDS 150–350). They grow to 1–1.5 inches, live 1–2 years, and keep busy cleaning up biofilm, detritus, and soft algae.
Breeding: Prolific in stable, planted tanks with moss or leaf litter and plenty of hiding spots.
