Purple Metallic Nanacy Tiger Shrimp

Purple Metallic Nanacy Tiger Caridina (Caridina sp. “Purple Metallic Nanacy Tiger”)

Appearance: A near-full-body metallic purple with an armor-like iridescence that shifts with angle and lighting. Nanacy-style patterning adds a mask on the head and refined tiger banding on the tail fan. Females are slightly larger and the most consistent purple.

Care: Advanced. They need ultra-stable, soft, acidic water and are sensitive to swings. See the Care at a glance box above for our exact parameters (RO water with a GH-only remineralizer over active soil). They grow to 1–1.5 inches, live 1.5–2 years, and graze biofilm and detritus constantly.

Breeding: Capable breeders in dialed-in, heavily planted tanks with plenty of cover.
